Welcome to the 2017 Project Management Conference - dedicated to "Building the Future"
2017's conference is an exciting look towards the future of our profession. Personal, professional and organisational growth is never ending; we continue to build on our past to grow our future. This is especially true in Christchurch. Our city and people are going through significant change; it's exciting, our innovative thinking and design is redefining our city's landscape. We are on a long path to build a sustainable city of the future and project managers are integral to its success.
We have created some exciting and informative new concepts for Project Management Conference 2017. This fresh new approach will appeal to the up and coming project managers whether still studying or currently starting on their professional careers. These new events, along with the traditional great line up of keynote speakers, master classes and presentations and of course our signature awards dinner creates a fantastic event at a great venue that we know you will enjoy every moment of.
Get ready to build our future!
Our 2017 conference focuses on three key aspects of our future:
Building a Sustainable Future
For our future to be sustainable we need to balance the social, environmental and economic impact of projects. Our 2017 focus on sustainable projects will highlight projects that do this well and offer fresh ideas on how we can all be a part of creating a sustainable future.
Building the Future of our Profession
Great project teams start with great people. As project professionals we need to ensure we continue to nurture and develop the people who will form the future of our profession. We will be inviting a wide range of project and programme managers to participate in the conference and be sponsoring (with the help of our partners) the attendance of a number of project management students. Continue your own learning through the outstanding line up of speakers, workshops, site visits, networking and access to tools and techniques to help you build your future in project management.
Building the Future for New Zealand
Building infrastructure (both IC&T and bricks and mortar) and more recently in New Zealand rebuilding infrastructure after natural disasters calls for innovative solutions, community engagement and provides opportunities for thoughtful and provocative solutions. Hear from speakers who are pushing innovation, engaging and delivering in new ways and explore how their experience and learning will assist you in your projects and businesses.
